You may defer your 2008 race entry for any reason until 11:59 pm, October 1, 2008. Once your deferral is confirmed through Active.com, you are automatically removed from the 2008 Triathlon.
If you defer, you will receive a guaranteed spot and your entry fee will be transfered into the 2009 Toyota US Open Triathlon as long as you register for 2009 within the early entry time frame. There is no deferral fee but if you paid a one-time $10 insurance fee, the fee will not be refunded or transferred. Your guaranteed entry allows you to register one week early for the Triathlon to ensure your 2009 registration and is valid until age group registration sells out.
