Station #1 Race briefing. For your safety and the safety of all participants, all athletes are required to attend a mandatory race briefing. The briefing room will be identified by a large sign posted on an easel. Each briefing will last approximately 30 minutes, and you may NOT enter the room once the briefing has already started. Once the briefing is over and you exit the briefing room, your hand will be stamped, to indicate that you have attended a briefing.
Station #2 Finding your race number. Upon entering the packet pick-up area, there will be a participant list of athletes names posted alphabetically. Find your name on the list and remember your race number; it will be posted next to your name. Once you find your race number, your next stop will be to sign a swim waiver, Station #3.
Station #3 Sign a swim waiver. These waivers will be on tables just beyond the participant list. Once the waiver is signed, stop at the fourth station.
Station #4 Personal Information card. Race staff will ask you to present government issued photo identification (driver’s license, military i.d., passport, etc.), sign a waiver of release card and verify that your personal information on the card is correct. Take your information card with you, it will be checked at each station. Staff members will also collect your signed swim waiver and take your ticket or check your stamped hand.
Station #5 USA Triathlon membership. At this table, you will either be required to show your current USAT card or pay the $10.00 one day USAT fee if it was not paid with your entry fee. Everyone MUST stop at this station.
Station #6 Race packet, wrist band, and turn in your information card. Locate your race number on the placard behind the race packet tables. Volunteers and race staff will be giving you your race packet. The race packet will include the following: course maps, race instructions, USAT rules, helmet number, race number, bike number, swim cap, wave start list, safety pins and twist ties. The wrist band is mandatory for the race, this shows that you are a registered athlete and it gives you access to the transition area. It will be marked with your race number. DO NOT remove your wrist band until your bike has been removed from transition, after the race.
Station #7 Goody bags and race t-shirts. Each athlete will receive a race t-shirt and goody bag filled with samples from our sponsors. This area is located in the expo hall.
This event is scored with the ChampionChip timing system. ChampionChips will be distributed at swim start race morning. Body marking will be done at transition and swim start race morning.
